Course contents :
 |
| This course is focused on the athletic preparation of the students. It is organized during the all year with 135 hours each semester. Practical sports' courses aim to the individual improvement of the students in several individual and team sports. Athletic experience is considered as the basis that the student will use to understand and mastery a lot of sports in order to build knowledge and competencies needed for teaching and personal development. |

| - To revisit fundamentals according to the motor skills
- To improve physical fitness necessary to sports
- To develop technical and tactical basis (according to the sport)
- To prepare to sport ethics (fair-play, respect of others...)

Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :

| Doing sport needs that the students must have a good fitness level and the largest motor skill experience. |

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
 |
| Sports courses are organized by teaching units (3/semester). Teaching units for boys are athletics, swimming, gymnastics (individual sports), basketball, volleyball and handball (team sports). Girls have athletics, swimming, gymnastics and dance (individual sports), basketball and volleyball (team sports). A fitness unit is also organized for all students, according to a programme detailled on the public pannels.
Attendance is compulsory. The assistants are checking if each student is active during each session. |

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :

| The schedule is detailed in the vade mecum. Each change is provided through the notice board. Students are invited to verify the latter when they arrive at the sport building (Building B.21). |

Recommended or required readings :
 |
| They are few written material. When it is the case, the assistant provide a copy to the students' representative who is in charge to organize the copying. |

Assessment methods and criteria :
 |
| Assessment lies on the quality of the students' work during the units as well as on their performances during the exams (last week of each semester). Penalties are provided to the student who fails in an unit. Attendance and fitness level are also taken into account. When a student fails in an unit of the first semester, it exists an opportunity to present again the exam at the end of the second semester. Details of the assessment are presented to the students during the welcome session and each student can ask additional information during the academic year through the course leader or assistants. |
