Learning outcomes of the course :  
Initiate students to developing countries economic and social issues and contribute to the research of sustainable perspectives and development by students.
After completing the course the student is expected to
- will be familiarized with the main issues and the international political agenda linked to the development problematics
- will be able to interpret the main quantitative and qualitative development indicators
- will obtain the basic elements required to discuss and participate in debates related to all the development issues including cross-cutting issues (gender, environment,...)
