| This course is a general introduction to the functioning of financial markets and to the good on which it is exchanged: money.
Our objective is to define concepts and mechanisms, and study the main actors of these markets. We will focus in particular on the role of money, on the control of the quantity of money in circulation and on the price setting mechanism of money and its supports (bonds, shares...).
This course is designed for all kinds of publics but in particular to the students who are interested in finance. Unlike the courses specialised in finance, this course offers the students the analytical and theoretical tools on money and monetary policy very useful to understand financial markets and its numerous crises. |
