Course contents :  
The private comparative law lectures will change subject from year to year. Il will study a legal institution in several legal systems, usually starting with the roman law. It may as well be that the subject is of pure roman law.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
This course aims to help the students to become more familiar with foreign legal systems and to put Belgian law in perspective, in order to help them to become aware of the subjective choices made by the Belgian legal system, of the evolution of the legal science in Europe and in the World.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Lectures will take place during the second semester.
Recommended or required readings :  
The use of a handbook will depend on the chosen subject every year.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Classical oral exam.
