Course contents :  
The course is comprised of seminars where students are asked to make a detailed study of subjects that raise particularly interesting questions in the area of European competition law. Subjects vary from one year to the next. Among those chosen during the previous years were, for instance, the case of Microsoft, recent developments in European and American competition law regarding vertical restrictions, and the application of competition law to the pharmaceutical sector.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To make an in-depth study of issues pertaining to European competition law, which present particular difficulties or raise issues that are highly relevant today.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Students must have taken a general course in European competition law.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
No
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Students are asked to actively participate in the discussions based on documents (decisions, decrees, reports, articles on doctrine) that they must analyse in order to prepare for the seminar.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Students are marked on the basis of their participation in class and on a written exam where they are asked to discuss a case study relating to the subject studied in class.
