Course contents :  
Surface characterization : SIMS, ESCA, AES. Chimisorption. Theory. Qualitative and quantitative analysis. Applications. Porous material texture. Parameters describing the catalyst texture. Analysis of physical adsorption-desorption isotherms. Use of the mercury penetration technique.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Notions necessary to study heterogeneous catalysis and porous materials.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Bachelor in Engineering or in Chemistry.

No workshop.
