Learning outcomes of the course :
 |
| Basic knowledge in botany (concepts and methods of the main disciplines); plants are studied at the level of cells to the level ecosystems. After completing the course the student is expected to Identify and describe the main plant structures (cells, tissues, organs) Identify, name and classify outstanding representatives of higher plants Use a reference Flora to identify the familiy and species of seed plants of the Belgian flora. Describe the major organization patterns and reproduction cycles of the main plant types. Briefly describe vegetation by using floristic, biogeographical and ecological criteria. |
