Course contents :  
The course presents a short history of the discovery of the DNA and the stages of the methodological revolution that followed.
It describes the molecular mechanisms of the replication, transcription and translation processes.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Presentation of the essential molecular biology concepts with a focus on elements which allow an understanding of the functioning of the "tools" used by molecular biologists.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
General biochemistry (upstream)
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
10 hours: learning how to manipulate DNA
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
4 hours per week during the 2nd semester
