Course contents :  
This course combines a theoretical approach to the basic structures of modern Chinese with a focus on the practical dimensions of communication.
The textbook used is Méthode de chinois (Premier niveau), Isabelle Rabut et al., Collection Langues Mondes.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
This course aims at developing a communication ability in modern Chinese. The focus will be put on oral, listening as well as reading skills. At the end of the two semesters of class, the goal is to allow students to become familiar with a series of everyday communication situations as well as to master the basic grammatical structures of modern Chinese.
