Course contents :  
The course provides an overview of the main phases in the history of the town (Antiquity, Middles Ages, Contemporary Era) in relation to town planning design.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To understand the essential steps in the history of the town and in town planning design in relation to social, political and economic history.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
History of Art and Architecture courses in the Baccalaureat.
Social sciences Baccalaureat courses.

Classes with exercises.

Documents will be provided.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Written exam: 60%.
Exercises during class: 40%.
