| Duration : | 30h Th, 35h Pr |
| Number of credits : |
| Lecturer : | Philippe Andre |
Language(s) of instruction :
| French language |
Course contents :
| To maintain adequate confort conditions in a building requires the control of several variables : temperature, humidity, air quality. Starting from the evaluation of the demands generated by the control of these variables (analysed in detail in the "Building Physics" course), the different techniques available to achieve the objectives are surveyed. |
Learning outcomes of the course :
| To give to the future engineer in architecture the required elements to be able to take into account the aspects of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning) in a building project : function of the components and systems ; technical description ; sizing ; engineering aspects. |
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :
| Building physics or an equivalent course. |
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
| Alternating with theory : calculation exercises and numerical simulation of the plants. |
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
| 15 4h lessons (2h theory + 2h exercises) + 1 visit of building. Table of contents : Thermal comfort additional elements ; climate; heating ; ventilation; air-conditioning; control; special applications. |
Recommended or required readings :
| Power Point presentation ; course notes in préparation. |
Assessment methods and criteria :
| Oral |
