Learning outcomes of the course :
 |
| Give students a good understanding of the different facets of the concept of sustainable agriculture in the tropics and make them acquire knowledge and skills in agro-ecology to enable them to develop sustainably tropical agro-ecosystems.
At the end of the course, the student must be able:
- Define the principles of agro-ecology and discuss how they are related to the development of sustainable agricultural systems in tropical regions.
- Describe the influence of biotic and abiotic factors on the functioning of agricultural ecosystems in tropical regions.
- Propose agro-ecological solutions adapted to the improvement of the physical, physico-chemical and biological properties of soils in tropical regions.
- Propose agro-ecological solutions adapted to the protection of tropical crops. |
