Course contents :  The student will be educated by means of a clinical training based on the radiographic and ultrasonographic examinations realized during the day on the patients referred to the imaging service.
Course objective :  
  • Initiate the students to the diagnostic imaging techniques routinely used in veterinary medicine;
  • Learn the principles of radiographic interpretation;
  • Learn how to correlate the radiographic differential diagnosis to the clinical findings.

  • anatomy
  • manual restrain
  • content of the previous year course in diagnostic imaging
  • objectives of the clinical training of the previous year
Organization :  A clinical rotation is organized at the beginning of the year. The presence at the clinic is mandatory between 8.30AM and 5PM. Each student should be identified by a badge with her/his name and surname. A rotation between the different activities of the imaging service will be organized: radiographic interpretation, radiographic technique in small animal radiology, radiographic technique in large animal radiology and ultrasonography. The students will be divided in groups at the beginning of the week.
Written notes :  No specific notes.
Assessment :  The evaluation will be done at the end of the clinical week. A written exam will be organised during the session.
