Pollutants and their impact on Physiology of the aquatic organisms and Biological quality of the ecosystem

4. Case studies
Course objective :  Enable students to acquire the competencies and technical skills in hydrobiology and management of aquatic orgnanisms
After completing the course the student is expected to
-know the biological process involved in aquatic ecosystems
-identify the main aquatic organisms
-set up a biotic index of an aquatic ecosystem
-explain interactions between the physico-chemical and biological processes in the aquatic environment
-select a number of scientific articles to cover up a current topic on insects of agronomic interest
-identify and evaluate scientific information
-present scientific information in form of a written assay and oral presentation on a topic of current interest on hydrobiology and aquatic ecotoxicology and demonstrate the ability to well discuss and summarize scientific information
