| Course contents : | While including a constant reference to theoretical tenets, the course introduces students to different kinds of translation, different kinds of texts and various areas of knowledge. |

| Course objective : | Comfort translating responses, including the frequent need to rephrase the original. |

| Prerequisites : | A good knowledge of English and an excellent knowledge of French. |
|
| Workshops : | A large part of the course consists of exercises. |
|
| Organization : | Four hours a week during the second term. |
|
| Assessment : | Students active involvement in the course is a plus ; apart from regular evaluations the final examination consists of a written test followed by an interview which gives students to modify their translation or account for their choices. |
