| Course contents : | The aim of the course is to provide the students with an integrated view on the diversity and the role of ion channels and to link the electrophysiological and pharmacological properties to the structure of the proteins that constitute the ion channels.
The course will be subdivided in 5 parts
- History and nomenclature of ion channels - Electrophysiological methods - Structure of voltage-dependent ion channels and receptor channels - Electrophysiological characteristics of ion channels under normal and pathological conditions - Drugs and ion channels |
| Course objective : | Gain the tools and the technical knowledge to be able to read an article in the field of electrophysiology and neuroscience in general |
| Prerequisites : | Basic knowledge in biochemistry, physiology and pharmacology |
| Workshops : | Demonstration of some electrophysiological experiments |
| Organization : | Fridays from 14h00 - 16h00 in the meeting room of the CNCM (B36 +1)
