| Course contents : | Current Topics in Marketing has been designed to enable you to complete an in-depth analysis of a current or emerging marketing issue (Literature review). Your own exploration of your topic combined with an appreciation of other topics should provide you with a broad knowledge of a variety of specialist areas in the dynamic field of marketing. |

| Course objective : | The course is highly interactive in that you will be required to demonstrate your ability both to write about, and present information to others on your topic. Additional value of the course is on developing writing and speaking skills in English, combined with analytical reasoning.
Although topics may vary according to current marketing environment and special interests/experience of instructor and/or the students, the overall aim of this course is to involve you with current or emerging issue in areas of Marketing such as:New Product Development; Branding; Customer Equity; Consumer Behavior; Global Marketing; Internet Marketing.
The more specific aims are to provide an opportunity for you to demonstrate the knowledge and research skills you have gained in your academic career. |

| Organization : | Students will be divided into small teams. Each team will select a marketing topic, either provided by the professor, or they may choose a topic of their own interest. Each team will write and present a comprehensive research paper (max. 20 pages) based on the most current marketing literature (recent journal articles & books) dealing with the selected topic.
The learning format will be informal interactive sessions, rather than formal "ex cathedra" type lectures.
Time distribution:
- Lecture: 4 hours
- Project in team: 84 hours
- Presentations: 8 hours

| Assessment : | Your course grade will be determined by the Research Paper (75%), and the Oral Presentation (25%). |
