RAVT2045-5  Elements of synergy between livestock and plant productions, 3rd part
Duration :  10h Th
Credits/ECTS :
Advanced Master in Development, Environment and CommunitiesSecond semester1
Holder(s) :  Guy Mergeai
Language :  French language
Course contents :  Presentation of the calculation modes of the sources of losses and contributions in humus to tropical soils.
Presentation of the contributions in major nutritive elements by various types of animal manures.
Presentation of the calculation mode of the production and application costs of different types of animal manures in tropical environments.
Applications of the learned methods of calculation.
Course objective :  To give the elements allowing calculating the contributions in mineral nutriments and organic matter to the soils from various modes of large and small ruminant rearing in tropical areas as well as the cost of these contributions.
At the end of the course, the students will be able:
- To calculate the humic balance of a farm carrying out the breeding of bovines and/or small ruminants in areas tropical (with and without stalling during part of the day, with and without contribution of litter in the kraals or the cattle sheds).
- To calculate the contribution of the animals to the enrichment of the soils in major nutritive elements (NPK).
To calculate the application and production cost of one kg animal manure in tropical conditions.
Organization :  Lectures: 3h
