| Course contents : | 1. Introduction 2. Biological cycles of some parasitic angiosperms 3. Trophic relationship between Angiosperms and cultivated plant 4. Consequences of the parasitism 5. Methods of control |
 |
| Course objective : | The course aims at giving to the students a synthetic view of the specificities of parasitic higher plant [their biology as well as their interactions with their host plant, ....]. The course also presents the bases of the different control strategies of parasitic higher plants. After completing the course the student is expected to 1.Identify the different steps of the parasitic higher plant cycle targeted by the control methods 2. Quantify the impact of the different control strategies on the development of the epidemics 3.Evaluate the biological and socio economical constraints on the choice of the control methods by growers to ensure a sustainable production |
