| Course objective : | Topics of the electrodynamics part of the course: - vector analysis - Maxwell's equations - electrostatics - electromagnetic waves - electromagnetic fields generated by moving particles
Topics of the thermodynamics part of the course: - ergodicity, irreversibility, and the arrow of time - statistical ensembles - the principles of thermodynamics - ideal gases - interacting gases and phase transitions

| Workshops : | Regular homework (once per week) will have to be done and submitted. An exercise class will be organized in which homework exercises are discussed and corrected. Students are encouraged to present their solutions on the blackboard.
