| Course contents : | Each year, a topic is examined in terms of some of its historical developments, from Ancient time down to the work of the present day. The seminar welcomes a variety of lecturers, and takes place on one or several days of study devoted to the chosen topic. The subject chosen for 2010-2011 is the relationship between logic and ontology. |

| Course objective : | Deeper understanding of concepts and issues in modal logic by knowledge of their historical development. |

| Prerequisites : | Bachelor's degree knowledge in logic and history of philosophy. |

| Workshops : | Written essay on a topic related to modal logic. |
