| Course contents : | Introduction to meteorology dedicated to first year students in oceanography. General introduction : orders of magnitude, characteristic lengths and times. Application to thermostatics. Radiation and energetic balance. Introduction to air dynamics. Processes of saturation and condensation. Large scale circulation. |

| Course objective : | Provide to students a physical approach of processes located at and near the air-sea interface. |

| Prerequisites : | Mathematics, physics and chemistry at a level of batchelor of sciences (Science and Applied Science Faculty) |
