| Course contents : | The course is dedicated to the study of the autographies and non-autographic written work of Ferdinand de Saussure (1857-1913), the father of modern linguistics. The problems dealt with are philological (the problems specific to establishing theoretical texts), historical (how were these texts received in the 20th century) and epistemological (to which form of critical questioning are we led through the study of these texts). |

| Course objective : | 1. To develop a heuristic reading of the scientific texts. 2. To compare the linguistic study with the philosophical study of the language. |
