Course contents :  The part of the seminar led by Françoise Tilkin will address a subject or a group of subjects which students will choose together during a preparatory session organised at the start of the academic year. As part of this, each student will be responsible for studying a question which they will attempt to answer through research, and present in a written piece of work in the form of a scientific article. Group work (oral presentations at different stages of the research to facilitate exchange of information and shared problem solving) and individual interviews will occur throughout the research. As the opportunity arises, students may be required to attend scientific meetings.
The part of the seminar led by Daniel Droixhe in 2010-2011 will have this subject: « Une lecture commentée du Compère Mathieu de l'abbé Dulaurens. Un écrivain marginal du XVIIIe siècle"
Course objective :  The part of the course led by Françoise Tilkin aims to give students the possibility of acquiring the theoretical and methodological bases as well as the techniques involved in oral and written expression required for carrying out research in the chosen theme: the literature of the 17th and 18th centuries.
The part of the course led by Daniel Droixhe: to get the general knowledge allowing to achieve a Master study on one of the subjects proposed by D. Droixhe on

Prerequisites :  For D. Droixhe and Fr. Tilkin : a good general knowledge of French literature of the Enlightenment
Workshops :  For Françoise Tilkin's part of the course: oral seminar presentations (presentation of the problem in question, then progress and the results of the research); and a written paper (a scientific article).

For Daniel Droixhe's part of the course: Students present a lecture on a subject in relationship with the thema of the study of the year.
