Course contents :  Stylistic analysis of a corpus of 20th century Spanish texts. Even if the social and historical context is necessary for a complete and authentic interpretation of literary works, the course will deal first with narrative techniques and the means of expression furnished by texts.
Course objective :  Knowledge of contemporary Spanish literature and study of narrative procedures that characterize the works of different authors.
The command of scientific approaches in the writing (and critical reading) of scholarly papers.
Prerequisites :  Level C1 of Spanish. Ideally, a general knowledge of the main periods in contemporary history and literature of Spain.
Workshops :  In order to obtain the ECT that are awarded, students in modern languages and literature must prove their ability to reflect in theoretical terms and to master the terminology in this domain, and to attest this by writing an academic paper (the subject will be announced at the due moment).

Several novels by Camilo José Cela and Ramón J. Sender.
Assessment :  Written papers and exam.
