Course contents :  The theoretical part of this course will focus upon: - the definition of synchronic linguistics and the parameters of the field of morphosyntax; - the inventorising and classification of basic operational relationships within the phrase/statement; - the characterisation of classes of elements. The practical part of the course will familiarise students with the concepts covered in the theory course and will assign exercises, particularly on phonetic transcription, analysis and morphemes.
Course objective :  By the end of the course, students will be able to demonstrate understanding and knowledge of the basic concepts of morphosyntax covered in the class.
Prerequisites :  Basic grasp of French grammar.
