Course contents :  This course is part of a module on Gender studies. It aims at presenting women writers whose works may not have received the recognition they deserve.
Course objective :  This year the course bears on women poets living in Britain but originally from other continents.
Prerequisites :  Good knowledge of English
Workshops :  Only few students attend the course, which as a consequence consists more of workshops than of lectures.
Organization :  2nd term.
Probably on Wednesday lunchtime.
Written notes :  To be decided on.
Assessment :  Students are expected to hand in an essay of 2 to 3,000 words on a couple of poems by one of the writers we will have discussed in class. An oral examination will take this assignment as its starting point.
