Course contents :  The course will be an introduction to English linguistics. It will be based on a discussion of the following book: Douglas Biber, Susan Conrad and Geoffrey Leech, Student Grammar of Spoken and Written English, Longman, 2002.
Course objective :  Acquire basic notions in English linguistics; revise the grammatical and lexical specificities of the language.
Prerequisites :  Very good knowledge of English; Langue anglaise I.
Workshops :  Some sessions will be devoted to specific exercises.
Organization :  One hour a week during the entire academic year.
