Course contents :  The course is based on a 'close reading' approach to John Le Carré's 'The Little Drummer Girl'
Course objective :  A deeper look at how morpho-syntactic and semantic 'rules' are exemplified in running text; an effort at improving the lexical competence of non-native speakers of English.
Prerequisites :  Very good knowledge of English; Langue anglaise II et Linguistique I.

Participants are invited to get a copy of John Le Carré's The Little Drummer Girl (paperback edition)
Assessment :  written and oral exam at the end of the course;
the written exam consists in two translations : English to French and French to English
