| Course contents : | Discussion of the work of Paul van Ostaijen, one of the most influential voices in 20th-century Dutch literature. |
 |
| Course objective : | Extending the knowledge of the political, historical and cultural context of modern Dutch literature. Improving the students' skills at literary analysis. |

| Prerequisites : | A good command of written and spoken Dutch. |
 |
| Workshops : | Presentation of selected texts by Van Ostaijen, followed by public discussions. Submission of a short paper. |
 |
| Organization : | Duration and period: 30h of theory in the 1st semester.
