| Course contents : | After an introduction concerning papyrus and the history and technique of papyrology, the course covers, with originals and photographs, various aspects of this documentation and its problems (provenance, dating, materials, writing, deciphering, identification). Research using a computer is also taught. |

| Course objective : | To study the material conditions of the copy, the edition, the diffusion and the transmission of Greek and Latin literary texts in antiquity, and their consequences on the conception, the presentation and the conservation of literary works. |

| Prerequisites : | Ability to read Greek. |
