Course contents :  The seminar provides training in scientific research. It deals with the concrete aspects connected with the accomplishment of a piece of scientific work: establishment and critical evaluation of a bibliography, gathering and study of ancient sources (literary texts, inscriptions, papyri...), elaboration of a work plan, final editing.
Course objective :  This seminar will include:
1. regularly sharing the results of students' work (oral presentations and research progress and discussing any difficulties),
2. participating (with written reports) in the University's scientific activities and also external activities.
3. drafting critical summaries of recent work in the field chosen by the student or closely related fields, with a view to publishing in a scientific journal.
4. specific research conducted in the Department which will accept the student's final piece of work.
Prerequisites :  Skills acquired in degree in classical or eastern ancient languages.
