Course contents :  Biennial class (even years). Study of the evolution of ancient Greek literature from Homer downwards to late antiquity. The main ancient Greek authors and writings are presented in relation to the genre they belong to.
Course objective :  Introducing the students to the different periods of ancient Greek literary production in the framework of history and history of ideas. Presenting the main literary genres and authors.
Prerequisites :  None.

Written notes :  Suzanne Saïd - Monique Trédé - Alain Le Boulluec, Histoire de la littérature grecque, PUF, coll. « Quadrige », 2004 (or another manual) and a sample of Greek texts in French translation.
Assessment :  Oral examination.
