Course contents :  I. The history of kinesitherapy
II. Kinesitherapy teaching in Belgium and abroad
III. Nomenclature and deontology: the specific characteristics of hospital and private activity
IV. Check-up and assessment techniques
V. Musculoskeletal system reeducation: basics:
1) (Passive & active) articular function recovery techniques
2) Muscular function recovery techniques
3) Antalgic treatments
4) Case study
Course objective :  The Introduction to Kinesitherapy and Reeducation course reflects the interest of introducing specificity from the first study year. Reeducation fundamentals (active and passive techniques) will be illustrated with simple, varied clinical examples from both hospital and private practices. The course will provide a comprehensive, global vision of kinesitherapy as a preparation to more compartmentalized, specific technical 2nd-year courses.

  • Biomechanics basics (Physics course - term 1)
