Course contents :  
  • Mechanical vibrations: free vibration, forced vibration, vibration isolation,nonsinusoidal excitations, Fourier series analysis, critical speeds
  • Analysis of mechanisms : four-bar linkages, slider-crank mechanism, cams and followers, gear trains
  • Modelling of mechanical systems (Software: Working Model)
Course objective :  After completing the course the student is expected to

  • analyse the vibrating systems
  • analyse the main mechanisms (four-bar linkages, cams, gear trains, ...
  • model a mechanical system with Working model
Prerequisites :  Engineering mechanics, Dynamics of systems
