Basis of numirical calculation applied to hydrological modelling

Pedotransfer functions

1D modelling in variably saturated soils

Solute transfer and degradation

2nd part

Types of hydrological models Different representations of water transfer, solute transfer and degradation Data acquisition throught different scales Calibration/validation Nitrogen cycle in the soils

Course objective :  
1st part

Identify and use a adequate pedotransfer function, make an estimation of its validity

Define the parameters of a 1D hydrologic model for a long term calculation. Results formatting and discussion : water transfer and solute transfer and degradation

2nd part

Present and discuss different hydrological modelling schemes

Calibrate and validate simple hydrological models

Discuss the water movement representations within different hydrologic models and solute transfer and degradation
