Course contents :  (01) Water : constitution and origins (02) Water cycle : global and secondary cycles, unequal distribution of water, geopolitical tensions (03) Spatial and temporal typing of hydrological systems (04) Balance of an hydrological system (05) Hydrodynamic identification of aquifers (06) Water reserves and resources : classification, estimation, working (07) Groundwater cartography (08) Geo-physical field researchs (09) Aquifer test and pumping test : aims, equipment, experimentations (10) Water analyses : sampling, physical, chimical and biological analyses, choice of the parameters to analyse, quality (11) Methodology of hydrological surveys (12) Regional hydrogeology as exemple (13) Water management in agreement with the Water Framework Directive 60/2000/CE
Course objective :  To acquire scientific and technical knowledge in the scope of hydrogeology (estimation, working and protection of aquifers) to be able to debate and work with water specialists. After completing the course the student is expected to - to synthesize water cycle - to calculate the balance of an hydrological system - to use accurately technical vocabulary relating to hydrogeology - to analyse different kinds of hydrogeological maps - to synthesize the methodology to adopt for an hydrogeological study
