Course contents :  History of Wallonia since 1789 (some key themas and moments) and history of the Walloon movement(s).
Course objective :  Students' attention will be drawn to history and historiography of Wallonia and to the main questions for the historians (relations between history and policy making, history and identity, history and political activism...)
Prerequisites :  To have previously followed the general course on Belgian history will be an asset.
Workshops :  Report on a scientifical article (to be determined).

Histoire de la Wallonie, sous la direction de Bruno Demoulin et Jean-Louis Kupper, Toulouse, Privat, 2004 (uniquement les chapitres traitant de l'époque contemporaine).
Assessment :  Oral examination.
