Course contents :  This course will deal with the establishment of the early modern State and the institutional abundance resulting from it. We will give priority to the French and Habsburg spaces.
Course objective :  The aim of this course will not be to draw up an accurate and elaborate catalogue of all the political, juridical, economical... institutions of the Early Modern Europe - unrealistic enterprise - but well to give an outline of the gradual sedimentation of all sorts of institutions, intended to go on ... in an apparent disorder! I hope to give you the skill to catch "the spirit of the institutions" (D. Richet) and drive you able to determine the rules, the values and the stakes of it.
