Course objective :  The objectives of this lectures are to describe the tissues of the tooth and of the oral cavity and to explain their morphological and functional relationships. The description of tooth development during embryogenesis and childhood and of tooth evolution with aging will permit to better understand the relations between morphology and function.

Workshops :  
  • During practical lessons students observe microscopic slides of developing and adult teeth; they take place in the rooms of practical lessons CHU B23
Organization :  Lessons given during the S2 for the 2d year of bachelor in dental science.
Theoretic lessons: 4 X 1h15
Practical lessons: 2 X 2h30
Written notes :  Illustrated notes are distributed to the students at the beginning of the lectures.

Assessment :  Written examination on theoretic and practical notions.
