Course contents :  This course will take place over five sessions, giving a quick outline of the history of ethnographic museums, covering fundamental questions such as identity and the presentation of the Other. It offers students the opportunity to visit an ethnographic museum and exhibition (depending on what is on offer).
Course objective :  By using certain tools and concepts of anthropology and museology, we aim to analyse ethnographic museums and exhibitions and enable students to identify key concepts in terms of how others are presented
Prerequisites :  A basic understanding of anthropology is welcome, but not required.
Workshops :  Individually or in groups, students will work on an ethnographic exhibition plan, or an analysis of an exhibition or part of a museum of this type.
Organization :  The course will take place over five sessions, some on Saturdays of the 2nd term, in Brussels.

Assessment :  Written work and oral examination (50/50)
