Course objective :  Introduction to scientific monography. The critical approach to works of art and written sources about them from an historical perspective. Critical assessment of stereotypes commonly used in the study of the late Middle Age and the Early modern period.
Prerequisites :  - Having followed the History of Art and Archaeology of the 15th and 16th centuries given in the 1st cycle.
- Good knowledge of European history of the 15th and 16th centuries
- Capable of using a bibliography partially comprising books or articles in English, Italian and German.
Workshops :  Readings will be required of students.
