Course contents :  The course presents the range of methods available today for prehistoric archaeology. We start with raw data and through analysis, give such data anthropological significance, from tools to burials. Natural sciences, like those relating to technology and ethnography, are also presented in order to reconstruct the ways of life and values of prehistoric societies.
Course objective :  The course consists of an introduction the methods of prehistoric archaeology (e.g., typology, use-wear analysis, archaeozoology).
Prerequisites :  None.
Organization :  Duration and period: 30h + 10 days of excursions, trips and field training, 1st term.

Classroom and schedule: Prehistory Museum(building A4), Tuesday, 2-4 pm.
Written notes :  A bibliography of the major reference works is distributed at the beginning of the year.
Assessment :  Oral examination. Exam session in June.
