Course contents :   This course is destinated to the learning of the finite elements theory and is composed, on one hand, of ex-cathedra courses and, on the other hand, on a project. The project consist in programming a calculation software related to trusses or hyperstatic beams.
Course objective :   The course’s aim is mostly to teach the finite elements principles to the students.
The student will be able to :
- Use finite elements commercial softwares in the field of structural engineering with a critical mind
- Understand and use the finite elements theory
- Programate themselves in visual basic with a good knowledge of algorithmic, object oriented programming and graphics
