| Course contents : | During this lecture, the students learn how to make a geological map and to represent it by means of geographic information systems. The map will be produced for a region in the Condroz. 2 days of field studies will be completed together with the professor, 3 will done alone. Using the field observations, a map as well as a geological profile will be produced in digital format along with a report. |

| Course objective : | The goal is to produce a digital geological map. |

| Prerequisites : | Basics in geological mapping. |
 |
| Workshops : | 5 days in the field, 2 together wit the professor. |
 |
| Organization : | The lecture includes 5 days in the field, 2 together with the professor. Transport is done by car. 5 to 10 hours are spent on learning how to use GIS tools. |

| Assessment : | Evaluation of fieldwork, report, digital map and geological proofile. |
