Course contents :  Introduction, Earth differentiation, minerals and rocks, geological maps and cross-sections, folds, faults and rock deformation, weathering, soils, mass wasting, erosion, fluvial, coastal and marine erosion and sedimentation
- Georesources and environment
- Impact of human activities associated to natural hazards: induced land subsidence, costal erosion, soil and groundwater contamination, waste-disposals, seawater intrusions, earthquake, Civil Engineering works and geology, impact studies
Course objective :  Introduction to the geological aspects linked to environmental problems.
Workshops :  Some exercices are integrated in the course.
Organization :  First semester
This course is given in Arlon.
Monday of weeks 2, 3 and 4 (the whole day)

Assessment :  Written exam. Short questions based mainly on the physical understanding of the processes and concerned parameters.
