Course contents :  The first part of the course is dedicated to an overall presentation of documentation research tools useful to geographers. These tools are available at the University or free of charge on internet. Among these, the course relates in detail our catalogue Source and electronic documents available at ULg, bibliographic databases FRANCIS, GEOREF, Web of Science, as well as some specific resources. A part of the course is also devoted to the research of cartographic documents (GEOKATALOG, regional, national, international cartographic websites).
On the other hand, the correct writing of bibliographical references is dealt with.
Course objective :  Teaching students to develop documentation research skills and to write down bibliographic references.
Workshops :  Exercises are dedicated to documentation research in the fields of human geography, physical geography, and cartography.
Organization :  The course is held in the computer room of the Library Network.
Written notes :  A tutorial involving documentation research is the disposal of students.
Assessment :  The examination is a documentation research on a given subject. This research is realised with tools used during this course. The evaluation is based on the following: - the quality of documentation research - the formulation of search equations - the presentation of the bibliography.
