Course objective :  Introduction to geomatics techniques and methods for geologists
Prerequisites :  Windows environment on PC
Workshops :  Integrated during the lectures, with practical works achieved on PC with dedicated software (Open Source and commercial) + field work (GPS)
Organization :  Second semester.
Lectures 3 to 4 hours / week
Written notes :  - Slides PowerPoint
- Slides in PDF format available on a FTP server devoted to the students.

Recommended (not mandatory) :
Bonham-Carter, G.F. (1994) Geographic Information Systems for Geosientists, Kidlington : Pergamon-Elsevier Science.
Assessment :  Practical written examination, consisting in the modelling and solving of an application with the help of the dedicated software used during the practical works.
