Course contents :  Study of some geotechnical structures used in environmental problems, understand interactions between environmental loading and geomechanics.
Course objective :  To understand geomechanics and coupling with unsaturated underground water flow, thermal, chemical fields. Design and analysis of geotechnical structures for waste storage.
Prerequisites :  Solid mechanics, basic geotechnics.
Workshops :  Project on design and dimensioning of geotechnical structures for waste confinement. Bibliography study on various environmental geotechnics problems.
Organization :  Course during 1st semester, on Tuesday am
Written notes :  Available to students, Acrobat files.
Assessment :  Based on project report, oral presentation, and written exam.
