| Course contents : | The course consists mainly of didactic lectures during which practical application are discussed. |
|
| Course objective : | In the first part, we will familiarize students with the basic concepts of the analysis of transportation systems.
Next, methods for calculating the cost of transportation will be presented for each mode of transportation. The objective is to make possible a concrete evaluation of costs, an important element in the development of strategies concerning inter-modal chains of transportation. |

| Prerequisites : | To be a student in the first year of a Master program in good standing. |

| Workshops : | Computer simulations will be used. |

| Written notes : | The course is very specific and class notes should be sufficiently detailed : it is not necessary to consult particular works. For students who wish to proceed further, a library for transportation topics is being assembled, mainly with the service's own funding. |

| Assessment : | Oral examination in June. |
